The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as an Asset Engineer - Dam Safety. This role is ideal for a driven individual with a strong background in civil engineering and a willingness to learn and adapt to a dam safety role. As an Asset Engineer, you will play a critical role in contributing to the long-term performance and capability of our dam portfolio by providing engineering advice and support to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of the dam safety program by sourcing technical and management advice for the delivery of technical standards, maintenance plans, and specifications.
- Undertake condition assessments and prescribe technical compliance requirements.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with a minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in the heavy industry.
- Experience in Asset Management principles and the management of civil infrastructure.
- Experience in sourcing and managing technical advice from external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of personnel and customers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to work effectively both at site and remotely from site.
- Computer skills involving spreadsheets and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of OH&S, EEO, and Environmental Policies and standards.
- Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to changing circumstances and business demands in a measured and constructive way.
