Full Time Commis Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Commis Chef to join our team at The Cove in Patterson Lakes.

The successful candidate will focus on basic food preparation tasks, support experienced chefs, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established cooking guidelines and standards.
  • Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety procedures.
  • Exhibit control and leadership in the kitchen during service times, allocated section.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Essential Requirements:
  • Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Possess a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced pub/bistro environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution.
  • Be willing to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Hold full working rights in Australia.
