Thursday Volunteer Retail Assistant Northcote Store Thursday

Our Store is Seeking a Volunteer Retail Assistant to Join Our Team

As a volunteer in this role, you will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and receive comprehensive training on all aspects of retail sales. Your key responsibilities will include receiving and sorting donations, pricing and displaying merchandise, and working on the cash register while engaging with our valued customers.

The role of volunteer retail assistant involves:

  • Sorting and categorizing donations
  • Pricing, hanging and displaying stock
  • Filling shop displays from excess in backroom
  • Processing sales on POS computer - cash and eftpos
  • Customer Service - greeting and assisting customers
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Organising for returns to be sent back to the Warehouse
  • Maintaining an organised and tidy back room

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking applicants who possess excellent communication skills, are able to work independently and as part of a team, and have basic computer skills.
