Senior Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in the acute care setting. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of patients with complex needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and families
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote patient independence and well-being
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation processes
  • Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants
