Job Title: EL1 Assistant Director, Financial Systems

Join Randstad Digital as we seek an experienced EL1 Assistant Director, Financial Systems to lead our Financial Systems Team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the Financial Systems Team for Technology One and Expense8. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing strategic and technical advice on Financial Systems and will be an integral part of a team implementing a new Financial Management Information System, Technology One, in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the design and implementation of the new Financial Management Information System.
  • Manage Technology One and Expense8 systems, including system configuration changes, user access maintenance, help desk inquiries, training new system users, and system testing.
  • Coding and running adhoc SQL queries to generate data extracts for QoNs, data analysis, and audit inquiries and develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
  • Manage the data migration process, master data tidy-up, and management.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a small team.
  • Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Financial Systems.
  • Manage the ongoing development, implementation, system performance, and quality assurance of the financial management systems and processes used.
  • Build rapport and maintain internal and external relationships, respond to enquiries, provide assistance, and factual advice in a timely manner.
  • Manage prioritisation of own workloads and those of the team, ensuring work activities are completed to agreed timeframes and standard, undertake quality assurance reviews of information and work, and ensuring quality customer service and advice.
  • Preparation and approval of end of month processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Financial Management Information Systems Administration.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Responsive in high-pressure and changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently and apply strategic thinking for decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset.
