Classroom Teacher

This is a permanent full-time position commencing in January 2026. The successful applicant will teach students with autism, coordinate enrolment and transition, and support mainstream teachers with students who have additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching students with autism
- Coordinating student enrolment and transition
- Supporting mainstream teachers with students who have additional needs
- Qualifications to teach Religious Education or willingness to undertake relevant study
- Active and committed professional in education or willingness to support the ethos of the educational institution
- Special Education qualifications and/or experience teaching in a specialized setting
- Able to provide appropriate intervention for students with autism
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ability to integrate technology into the learning process
- Understanding of positive behaviour approaches
- Ability to design and implement individual education programs
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning
- Demonstrated understanding of the school's vision and mission
- Awareness of the Diocesan strategic plan
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education
- NESA accreditation to teach in NSW
