Job Title: Lead Instrumentation Specialist

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Lead Instrumentation Specialist to join our Operations business in Perth CBD. As part of our strategic growth plan, this role will play a pivotal part in our partnership with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract.

About the Role

This is a permanent role available as a full-time or part-time (job share) basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of instrumentation and controls engineers in the design and delivery of complex projects. You will have a strong background in instrumentation and controls design, with experience working in a similar client-facing leadership role on a major long-term Engineering Service Contract in brownfields Oil & Gas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of instrumentation and controls engineers in the design and delivery of complex projects
  • Develop and implement instrumentation and controls design strategies to meet client requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in instrumentation and controls design
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized degree in instrumentation and controls engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience working in a similar client-facing leadership role on a major long-term Engineering Service Contract in brownfields Oil & Gas
  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation and controls design principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
