Job Description

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and self-advocacy skills. Your duties will include:

  • Providing personal care and physical assistance to clients, including grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and transportation.
  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and household management.
  • Supporting clients in accessing community resources, social activities, and recreational services.
  • Documenting client progress and communicating effectively with families and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to upholding the principles of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and maintaining confidentiality.
