SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this role is around $90,000 - $120,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the JobThis Comminution Technician role involves carrying out repairs and maintenance on Weir HPGR, screens, and cone crusher equipment on customer sites and the workshop. As a fitter and site service technician, you will work with the Senior HPGR/Comminution supervisor and Service management to achieve various business objectives, including onsite safety, maintenance, process improvement, and lean principles.
You will be responsible for managing clients within the APAC region to establish and implement a sustainable growth of the allocated Comminution business unit. This includes providing service and customer support while onsite, managing all onsite maintenance, repair, fault finding, and test tasks as per scopes of work provided.
Key responsibilities also include recommending improvements to the Service Manager to reduce total operating costs (TOC), developing strong relationships with key customers, and ensuring that preventative maintenance is conducted to eliminate or reduce plant downtime.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of 3-4 years relevant technical/trade experience, with a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working on heavy specialised equipment such as high-pressure grinding rolls, hydraulic, and rotating equipment is highly preferred.
- Hydraulic knowledge is desirable, as well as the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and use MS Office software.
