About the Role

Our organisation is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our Queensland team of mobile clinicians, servicing the region.

">

This part-time role focuses on dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults living in residential aged care.

">

The ideal candidate will have expertise in swallowing and communication difficulties and will deliver in-person and telehealth-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Manage your own calendar of appointments with flexibility to choose work hours and locations">
  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties">
  • Deliver high-quality interventions that improve client outcomes">
  • Collaborate with your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and national team">
  • Travel opportunities to support clients in regional locations (optional)">
  • Advocate for clients' communication needs">
  • Provide consultation, education, and support to clients, families, and care teams">
  • Liaise with support coordinators and colleagues to ensure comprehensive care">

What You'll Need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology">
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia">
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport">
  • Passion for working with older adults and individuals with complex needs">
