Job Opportunity:

Data Analyst Project Officer

This is a compelling 6-month contract opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering services and programs to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse data to identify trends and potential risks to Victoria's waste and recycling system, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Update hazardous waste data, supporting integration into developing data systems, analysis, and visualisation.
  • Facilitate the integration of hazardous waste and facility data into new data systems as they develop.
  • Oversee data collection of hazardous waste into the system and develop protocols and deliver training for ongoing transfer.
  • Undertake data analysis and projections and data visualisation.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, visualisation, and data system management and development, with proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS.
  • A demonstrated ability to multitask while being resilient and adaptable to the demands of fast-paced agile work environments is essential.
  • Knowledge of data management principles and practices, including data quality, data governance, data security, and data ethics.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
