About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking retail leader to join our team at Drakes Glenmore store in Rockhampton.

As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for managing teams, creating rosters, generating orders, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, retail knowledge, and ability to drive sales growth while providing exceptional customer service.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage and lead a team of retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective rostering and scheduling systems to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Create and manage ordering systems to minimize stock losses and optimize inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in grocery and fresh food retail, with experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Sound knowledge of ordering and cost control procedures, including gross profit calculations.
  • Able to liaise effectively with both team members and management.
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills, with the ability to coach, train, and performance manage team members.
