ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on position working in the engineering department to ensure mechanical and electrical equipment and systems operate at maximum efficiency. You will work collaboratively with the maintenance team to achieve this goal.

The successful candidate will have experience in the trade assistant or other related support roles, with a strong problem-solving and communication background.

You will also possess sound organisational skills, able to function autonomously and adapt quickly to changing business demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the maintenance team in delivering engineering and related works
  • Contribute to the efficient and effective continual improvement of mechanical and electrical programs within the business
  • Perform mechanical duties within range of competence
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Proactively identify and minimise WHS risks
  • Remain up to date with current and future industry/trade related knowledge, trends and skills

REQUISITE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years experience in industry environment in T/A or other trades support role
  • Sound Problem solving, organisational and communication skills
  • Able to function autonomously, proactive and ability to adapt to constantly changing business demands and react quickly and effectively
