As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work with treatment providers to ensure the best recovery outcomes for your clients, conducting assessments and developing strategies for case management.
Your expertise and communication skills will be highly valued, and you will have the chance to continuously seek out ways to improve customer experiences and outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess current Police clearance and Working with Children Check, sound communication skills both written and verbal, and strong attention to detail, critical thinking & problem solving.
About the Role
As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, your primary responsibility will be to assist injured people in returning to work by providing training to develop new skills and independently finding employment. You will also deliver counselling to people who are grappling with a sudden change in their career goals and circumstances, conducting assessments to help guide them toward their new career.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant qualification such as a Rehabilitation Counsellor (full ASORC or RCAA membership mandatory), Registered Psychologist (full AHPRA registration preferred) or Social Worker (with AASW membership).
