Insurance Assessor Position

Maas Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Assessor to join their high-performing team in Tamworth, NSW.

Job Description:

As an Insurance Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing damage to insured properties and providing accurate builders' assessment reports and repair budgets for insurers to review.

  • Assess property loss or damage and determine policy coverage.
  • Communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes, and claim progress to stakeholders.
  • Support the Insurance Manager to identify customer resolution strategies to minimize customer escalations.
  • Determine an appropriate claim fulfilment method that balances customer needs.
  • Respond to customer and stakeholder requests within expected or agreed timeframes.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in the Building and Construction Industry is preferred.
  • Willingsness to travel and spend prolonged periods of time working out of the office.
  • Ability to use technology and systems to execute the role efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards.

Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
