About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Risk Team as a Senior Valuation Analyst, Mortgage Risk. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and managing HBAU's risk management framework across all WPB products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage valuation strategies through the development and enhancement of valuation models to optimise risk and reward.
  • Manage and increase the use of automated and desktop valuations to enhance customer experience while maintaining oversight over the model validation framework.
  • Review and maintain the bank's valuation compliance and test controls framework, ensuring independent oversight of valuation quality and sharing key reporting with senior stakeholders.
  • Support the mortgage underwriting team and management of the mortgage portfolio on security risk.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 to 7 years of modelling experience in the financial sector, including the creation and adoption of new models and management reporting.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to trouble shoot and identify themes and resolve complex problems and issues.
  • Experience in valuation strategy and credit decisioning management within a banking environment will be highly desirable.
