About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at 29 Metals Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering capital and upgrade projects across our operations and mining activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate projects, prepare budget estimates, and justify projects for AFE submission.
  • Manage the project lifecycle from scoping and detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Provide mechanical engineering expertise, including guidance on standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis.
  • Supervise contractors and inspect project work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain cost control throughout all project phases and ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong mechanical project engineering background, including experience with ore processing plant projects and mining infrastructure. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Exposure to underground and/or open-pit mining operations.
