About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in management accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial management processes.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post month-end revenue, direct wage, sub-contract and other accrual journals in accordance with established procedures.
  • Develop and present standard monthly management accounts and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct analyses and provide commentary for monthly General Manager's Business Review packs.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Coding of purchase invoices, AP management and cost monitoring to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in preparing price increase claims and negotiate with suppliers where necessary.
  • Develop knowledge of respective Awards and EAs to support operational managers with costings and rostering.
  • Create new reports using TM1 and other software to enhance financial controls and improve efficiency.
  • Analyse financial and cost variances, compile briefings and communicate results to stakeholders as required.
Essential Requirements
  • CPA/CA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong experience in management accounting or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial management processes, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, general ledger and corporate reporting.
  • Excellent costing and commercial skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others to achieve outcomes.
  • A proactive and positive approach to resolving issues, with good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
