Job Description

Are you looking for a role that combines community engagement with professional development? This Traineeship offers the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community development, while working towards a Certificate IV in Community Services / Development.

The successful candidate will assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of community development programs, projects and events. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve positive community outcomes.

  • Prepare and distribute communication materials, including newsletters, social media content, website updates and promotional resources
  • Collaborate with community groups and organisations to build relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of community engagement strategies and initiatives

As a Trainee Community Development Officer, you will:

  • Gain practical experience in community development, project coordination and event management
  • Develop your skills in communication, team work and problem-solving
  • Build relationships with community members, stakeholders and colleagues
  • Contribute to the achievement of community goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of community development programs, projects and events
  • Prepare and distribute communication materials, including newsletters, social media content, website updates and promotional resources
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve positive community outcomes

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the completion of a Certificate IV in Community Services / Development
  • Driver's Licence preferred. Access to reliable transport for attendance at both work and external training providers
  • Ability to work in a team environment
