About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Drug & Alcohol to join our team at Serco's Clarence Correctional Centre. In this rewarding role, you will provide primary care using a patient-centred model, supporting inmates to actively engage in their health management.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with correctional staff to deliver integrated health services that prioritise rehabilitation, safety, and high standards of care.

  • Assessing and managing intoxication and withdrawal states
  • Acting as a triage point for non-alcohol and other drug staff
  • Conducting comprehensive and accurate health assessments for patients
  • Promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates
  • Collaborating with correctional staff to ensure safe, patient-centred care
  • Maintaining high standards of practice to facilitate safe healthcare delivery

About the Location

The Clarence Correctional Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located on the beautiful NSW Mid-North Coast. This region offers stunning beaches, rainforests, and epic headlands, making it an attractive location for those who love the outdoors.

Your Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy flexible benefits, including:

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in mental health or drug and alcohol, or extensive experience in the field
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health and/or drug and alcohol programs
  • Strong analytical skills to assess physiological, psychological, and social information
