About the Role

We recently merged with Active Super to become a leading superannuation Fund with strong medium-term performance. The merger has resulted in significant growth, creating new opportunities in the investment team. This role will support the Investment team across various functions, providing considerable opportunity to enhance investment knowledge and skills through close collaboration with experienced professionals on interesting investment issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the analysis of the investment outlook that underpins the Dynamic Asset Allocation (DAA) positioning of the Fund's investment options.
  • Undertaking investment-related tasks as directed by executives and senior team members, including portfolio analysis, risk analysis, stress testing, attribution analysis, macroeconomic modelling, and asset allocation modelling.
  • Drafting and reviewing sections of Internal Investment Committee (IIC) and Investment Committee (IC) papers.
  • Presentation at IIC meetings in an informative and persuasive manner.
  • Contributing to Responsible Investment activities, such as proxy voting, carbon reporting, and exclusions reporting.
Requirements:
  • A demonstrable interest in investments is essential. Two or more years of direct experience in the superannuation and/or investment management industries is preferred but not necessary.
  • Well-developed quantitative skills and a strong ability in using quantitative analysis to support decision making. Strong technical skills in Excel are essential, and the ability to use Power BI is beneficial.
  • Strong self-organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
