Advanced Clinical Leadership Role

Our organization requires a skilled clinical nurse consultant to provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise relevant to the specialty of reprocessing reusable medical devices across a large health service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to reprocessing reusable medical devices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including AS5369 Standard, across all areas of the health service that use and reprocess reusable medical devices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation (from an approved training organisation based on nationally accredited competencies or equivalent).
  • Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australasia (GENCA) endoscopy reprocessing training (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements upon commencement).
  • Extensive experience working in an Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing role.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control.
