Key Responsibilities:- Family Search and Engagement: Identify and locate extended family members for children and young people in care, building strong relationships to support their well-being.
- Building Connections: Inform family members about departmental processes and care arrangements, fostering collaboration and facilitating their involvement in the child's life.
- Support and Advocacy: Provide practical assistance to families considering kinship care, helping with documentation, housing, income support, and access to funding to promote family engagement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with the child's safety network, regional Placement Support Services, and other internal and external stakeholders to promote and support culturally responsive foster care.
