Work as a Staff Specialist General Physician and Visiting Medical Officer in a progressive medical precinct.

This role involves participating in acute and general care medicine on-call roster, reviewing medical patients in the emergency department, inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and collaborating with colleagues for patient care.

You will participate in departmental meetings and reviews, providing leadership and teaching for Doctors in Training and medical students. You will also contribute to the development of clinical education and training programs.

The Base Hospital offers a range of services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (Inpatient and community services), and ambulatory services.

To be successful, you will need:

  • FRACP qualification
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated clinical ability comparable to that of a Specialist Physician in a public hospital and VMO in a private hospital

Desirable qualifications include sub-specialty qualification in Acute and General Care Medicine, experience in clinical education and training.
