Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Paving Technician to join our team in Townsville. As an Asphalt Paving Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, laying, and finishing of asphalt on roadways and other surfaces.

What You Will Be Doing

Your duties will include operating Skid Steers, HR vehicles, preparing surfaces, and labour intensive tasks. The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, high safety standards, and a high level of reliability as shifts may vary.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate can expect a competitive rate of $37.84 per hour plus penalties, offering ongoing work opportunities with a leading construction materials company.

Requirements

  • A valid White Card
  • Absolute commitment to reliability
  • Experience working with asphalt
  • A current MR/HR Driver's Licence (highly regarded)
  • A Roller or Skid Steer ticket (highly regarded)
  • Availability for night shift (mandatory)
  • A minimum 'C' class Licence
  • The ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
  • A current National Police Clearance
  • Safety competency
