About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to spearhead the civil scopes of work on HV infrastructure on renewable energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team towards the achievement of our strategic and commercial goals in the generation, renewables, and substations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team towards the achievement of the organisation's strategic and commercial goals in the generation, renewables, and substations.
  • Develop and implement a Safe System of Work for the civil discipline, ensuring competency and safety culture across the civil program of works.
  • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance system aligned to Australian Standards, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, and project specifications.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice as part of the tender and estimate process to ensure commercial sustainability of the civil function across the portfolio.
  • Support project delivery teams in supplier and subcontractor engagement by contributing to market tenders, selection processes, and ongoing management of suppliers and subcontract partners.
  • Accountable for ensuring that Yurika is aligned to current civil market trends and accountable for the Civil program of works across a national footprint by successfully coordinating and planning civil resources and equipment to complete scope of works.
  • Develop and implement compliance, quality, and HSE processes and systems to ensure the integration of renewable connections to grids are in-line with changes to legislation and client requirements.
  • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to enable safe and effective works delivery. Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety, and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and practices.

Essentials

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) and/or experience relevant to the role.
  • 10 years of civil construction and/or energy infrastructure experience.
  • Project Management qualifications and/or experience.
