Support Worker

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our Out of Home Care team, providing transportation and support to young people in care.
About the Role:- Transport young people to and from placement and school
- Cover the bayside and south-east areas
- Use our pool cars for transports
As a Support Worker, you will work with young people who have experienced complex trauma, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive. You will be responsible for transporting young people to and from placement and school, as well as providing support and guidance to help them navigate their daily lives.
What We Offer:- Clear set shifts, 3 hours minimum

- A foot in the door at the largest provider of family services in Victoria
- Pool cars so no need to use your own vehicle

- A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Family Work, Community Development or similar
- Experience working with young people who have experienced significant trauma
- An understanding of how trauma can affect the development of young people
- Excellent verbal and collaborative communication skills
- An empathy with AV's Values and Mission to do better for Children, Young People and Families
