Lead Tech BA Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Tech BA to join our Consumer Division at Westpac Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our compliance program.

In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of talented BAs, guiding them to deliver exceptional results. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure seamless implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, validate and manage requirements for changes to systems, business, processes, policies, information and data.
  • Translate User Stories & High Level Requirements into Technical Specifications for the Application implementation teams.
  • Look for ways to accelerate requirements gathering and continuously improve.
  • Work with the Engineering and Enterprise Testing teams to validate the requirements which are built accordingly to the technical specifications.
  • Identify and define detailed system requirements and use cases.
  • Support the execution of product test and resolve issues.
  • Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements.
  • Lead, coach, mentor and motivate other BA's to uplift their capability and showcase best practice.
  • People management of BA's that may include internals as well as partner resources.

Requirements:

  • 7 years + as an IT BA with skills in data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis experience (essential).
  • Financial Services or Professional Services background (essential).
  • Risk & Regulatory experience (essential).
  • People management experience (essential).
  • Extensive experience in JIRA, Confluence, Agile (desirable).
  • A strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering.
  • Ability to work in office a minimum of 2-3 days a week.
