Melbourne, Victoria, Australia RMIT University Full time
About the Role

The Communications Business Partner, International, Strategy and Engagement is a key role that is accountable for providing strategic communications advice and execution across the International and Engagement and Policy, Strategy & Impact (PSI) portfolios to help achieve business objectives, build staff engagement, and protect and enhance RMIT's brand and reputation.

The role will partner with leaders and key stakeholders predominantly in the PSI portfolio to understand business objectives and priorities, and lead the planning, execution and measurement of compelling and impactful engagement strategies reaching both internal and external audiences. A large part of this role is external promotion of PSI activities, so experience promoting initiatives across external channels including media, social media and website news is crucial.

The role will engage the broader University Communications team to deliver communications and engagement activities.

RMIT supports hybrid ways of working and will consider applicants wishing to work flexibly, full time or at a reduced load of 0.8 FTE.

About You

To be successful in this position, you'll have (in line with the position description):

  • Demonstrated experience developing, executing and measuring communications and engagement strategies for internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholders and juggling competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Business Partnering model.
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with key business stakeholders and good cross-functional relationships.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
