Cyber Response Associate

Clyde & Co is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious lawyer to join our market-leading cyber incident response team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of cyber incidents, related investigations, and litigation. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing crisis and reputational management services to our clients following a cyber incident or data breach.
Responsibilities- Manage customer-facing breach response and crisis management for clients from start to finish, including taking instructions and maintaining client files.
- Coordinate the initial response to cyber incidents, including client, internal team, and third-party vendors, in accordance with an organisation's incident response plan.
- Assist with potential regulatory obligations, investigations, and notification requirements.
- Complete incident reports outlining the status of the incident, remediation activities, and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure the incident is fully communicated, recorded, and tracked in accordance with our existing frameworks.
You will be an ambitious lawyer with a strong academic record, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of dealing with escalated customer-facing issues. Experience in cyber or privacy law, regulatory investigations, dispute resolution, and insurance would be beneficial.
