The Food Service Assistant

Play a vital role in our residents’ daily lives as a Food Service Assistant. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will work as part of the Hotel Services team, ensuring that the dining areas remain clean and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food to our residents with exceptional care and attention to detail.
  • Clean kitchen and dining room areas, including all related equipment, maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and residents alike.
  • Support residents around the dining halls, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.
  • Ability to problem solve, work with limited supervision, and ‘think on your feet.’

About You

  • 6 Months experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in aged care.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, ability to follow set procedures, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Hard Working, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.
