Visual Arts Director Opportunity

This leadership position oversees the Visual Arts department, including teaching practice and fostering a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will have experience in leading teams, operational management, and staff development.

The role is responsible for coordinating and leading the Visual Arts department, with particular focus on teaching practice and fostering a collaborative team environment. This includes overseeing all aspects of Visual Arts, including the annual Art Show and supporting student learning and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Senior School Visual Arts department, including staffing, resource allocation, and facilities management.
  • Staff Management: Be responsible for all people-based needs of the department, including staffing, fostering a climate of co-operation and trust, encouragement of professional development, conducting performance reviews, and providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to department staff.
  • Interaction with School Community: Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive leading a team.
  • Experience in a similar role, inclusive of people management, is highly regarded.
