Classroom Maths and English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced classroom teacher to join our school. As a Classroom Maths and English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching maths and english to years 7-12 students in a part-time fixed-term role.

About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is on the planning, preparation and delivery of programs to achieve specific student outcomes. You will engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve your knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school
  • Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions
  • Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values
