Acquisition Specialists play a vital role in ensuring the smooth procurement of goods, services, and supplies for our clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts.
  • Procurement Management: Oversee purchases that support customer-related business processes or internal use.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Resolve defects and delivery issues with suppliers, negotiating refunds when necessary.
  • Operational Coordination: Work closely with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure timely scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize experience and problem-solving skills to develop and refine procurement processes.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Financial Oversight: Review and approve supplier invoices with our Accounts Payable Department.
  • Performance Evaluation: Contribute to Supplier Performance Evaluations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer information.
  • Typically acquired through an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of FAR, DFARS, and NAICS principles is essential.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills are crucial in this fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers while upholding a positive work attitude is vital.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Problem-solving skills to enhance and optimize procurement processes are essential.
  • Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) procedures is beneficial.
Work Environment

This role will be based at our Alice Springs facility, which spans 4,400 acres and features approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.

This position requires 100% on-site presence.
