Job Title:

Project Director - HVAC

Role Overview:

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HVAC projects within the building and construction industry.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects, with a strong understanding of construction methods, technologies and industry best practices.

They will be expected to lead and mentor junior project managers, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and capabilities.

Additionally, they will contribute to the continuous improvement of our project management processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, managing budgets, resources and timelines to meet project objectives
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues and challenges that may impact project delivery, and implement effective strategies to address them
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in the HVAC industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex HVAC projects, with a strong understanding of construction methods, technologies and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Proficient in the use of project management software and tools, with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Membership or accreditation with a professional industry body (e.g. AIRAH, HVAC&R Society)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior team members
