">As a Trade Development Instructor, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of inmate work details, providing training, conducting competency assessments, and promoting trade training opportunities. You will also communicate with community partners, manage quality assurance, and report on operational issues.
">Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing training programs to enhance inmates' skills and knowledge">
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement">
- Maintaining accurate records of inmate behavior, performance, and attendance">
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination">
- Representing Serco in the community and promoting the organization's values">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- A trade certificate or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture, Grounds Maintenance, or a Construction-based trade">
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or willingness to undertake training to obtain accreditation">
- Certificate III Correctional Practice, or willingness to attend training to obtain accreditation within the first year of employment">
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience">
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills">
- A commitment to Serco's values and the rehabilitation process">
- Ability to maintain high levels of integrity and ethical behavior">
- Knowledge and practical application of Work Health & Safety principles">
- Well-developed skills in conducting site risk assessments and implementing action plans">
