About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the world's largest bulk export port authority as a Market Analyst. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for formulating, developing, and delivering market intelligence for Pilbara Ports. Your primary focus will be on analyzing and interpreting trade and port performance data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and monitor environmental scanning metrics that may impact the Ports and its operations, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Translate complex data into actionable strategies, ensuring that stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct high-quality trade forecasting, analysis, and interpretation to enable well-informed decisions and improved performance.
  • Research and evaluate planned customer project viability, ensuring that the business is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Research supply chains of new commodities and requirements, facilitating the growth of new businesses.
  • Develop advanced economic models for existing and future commodities, providing a competitive edge for the Ports.
About You

This role is ideal for an accomplished market and trade analyst with demonstrated experience in domestic and global trade and resources markets, as well as port business. Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, or a related field are a requirement. You will have strong research skills, high-level analytical and conceptual thinking, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build productive relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
