PERSOLKELLY is a leading recruitment provider in Australia, specializing in the recruitment of professional, ICT, government, STEM, management, and executive talent.

We are currently working with the Western Australian Electoral Commission to provide a workforce for the upcoming state election.

The following roles are available to assist with the election:

Issuing Officer

Issues ballot papers to electors on polling day and rotates as a ballot box guard and queue controller.

After 6 pm, becomes a counting officer to conduct the count.

  • Key responsibilities:

  • Rotate as a ballot box guard and queue controller
  • Conduct the count after 6 pm
Student Electoral Officer

Assists in polling place duties performed by officers, with limited hours.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in polling place duties
  • Work limited hours
Voter Information Officer

Engaged centrally through the Electoral Ambassador program and may be assigned to polling places with high concentrations of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) or indigenous electors.

Can perform other duties but are largely deployed to assist electors with language, literacy, or other requirements.

General Assistant

Assists with the setup of a polling place on the night before polling and on polling day.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Assist with the setup of a polling place
  • Work on polling day
Ballot Box Guard

Ensures the correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes and rotates as an issuing officer and queue controller.

After 6 pm, becomes a counting officer to conduct the count.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes
  • Rotate as an issuing officer and queue controller
  • Conduct the count after 6 pm
Queue Controller

Manages the queue into the polling place and directs electors as needed.

After 6 pm, becomes a counting officer to conduct the count.

  • Manage the queue into the polling place
  • Direct electors as needed
  • Conduct the count after 6 pm
