Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Education Teacher to provide support and accommodations to students with special needs in our educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, taking into account their unique learning and behavioral requirements.
  • Provide targeted instruction and support to students, using a variety of teaching strategies and methods to engage and motivate them.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations and modifications for students with special needs in the general education classroom, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress regularly, making adjustments to individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Work collaboratively with other educators, specialists, and support staff to provide a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs, demonstrating a passion for supporting their unique needs and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advocating for students' rights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, and colleagues.
