Senior Financial Analyst

The RoleAs the Senior Financial Analyst, your role will see you act as a key partner for one of our national divisions. You will collaborate with senior leaders and operational stakeholders. This role is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day account processing for corporate accounts, including general journals, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll.
- Manage all financial aspects for various business units.
- Prepare monthly GL reconciliations and financial statements, including credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in maintaining financial and cash flow forecast updates to ensure sufficient cash requirements.
- Prepare quarterly BAS/IAS and annual FBT return.
- Support the General Manager and business in ad-hoc queries, projects, and other related duties as required.
- Prepare quarterly BAS statements and annual Income Tax & FBT returns.
- Liaise with external accountants on financial reporting and auditing.
- Assist the finance and admin team with training and support where required.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations, systems, and reporting efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
You will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial. Key skills include:
- Experience in a large, complex environment - particularly high pace and high volume.
- Proven experience as an Accountant in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data from multiple sources and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial and management accounting and advanced knowledge of tier one financial software (Oracle or SAP).
