Exercise Physiologist Assistant

The role of an Exercise Physiologist Assistant is to provide support and assistance to the Exercise Physiologist in delivering therapy programs for children with diverse neurodevelopmental needs.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires a caring and enthusiastic individual who can build rapport with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Exercise Physiologist in planning and running individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Support children in performing exercises safely and effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and materials.
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviours, and responses during sessions.
  • Encourage engagement and participation in activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming therapy environment.
  • Communicate updates with families and staff under the guidance of the supervising Exercise Physiologist.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, Exercise Science, or related field (or working towards).
  • Experience working with children, ideally in therapy or educational settings.
  • Understanding of neurodiversity and child development.
  • Ability to follow structured therapy programs and instructions accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Reliable, patient, and adaptable.
Training & Support:

Full onboarding and ongoing support provided by our Exercise Physiologist.
