**Expert Panel Opportunity: Medical Science and Leadership Role**

We are seeking highly skilled medical practitioners or scientists to contribute to a multidisciplinary panel, providing expertise in psychiatry, musculoskeletal medicine, and epidemiology.

The role involves contributing to the development of Statements of Principles for diseases, injuries, or deaths related to military service based on sound medical-scientific evidence.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with outstanding academic records and extensive clinical or public health experience to make a meaningful impact in the field.

As part of this team, you will work closely with other experts to support robust SOP development and provide leadership in your area of specialization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong representational, stakeholder management, ethical standards, and leadership capabilities, as well as an understanding of the Australian Repatriation system and experience working with executive government and institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to determining Statements of Principles for diseases, injuries, or deaths related to military service based on sound medical-scientific evidence.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in psychiatry, musculoskeletal medicine, and/or epidemiology as part of a multidisciplinary panel.
  • Collaborate with a Brisbane-based Secretariat and other members to support robust SOP development.

Qualifications:

  • Registered medical practitioner or medical scientist with an outstanding academic record.
  • Extensive clinical or public health experience.
  • Expertise in psychiatry and/or musculoskeletal medicine and/or epidemiology preferred.
  • Strong representational, stakeholder management, ethical standards, and leadership capabilities.
  • Understanding of the Australian Repatriation system and experience working with executive government and institutions.
