Job Title: Director of Purchasing

About the Role:
The Mövenpick Hotel Cairo-Media City is seeking a skilled Director of Purchasing to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sourcing plan to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and performance metrics.
  3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
  5. Oversee the purchasing team, providing leadership, guidance, and development opportunities.
  6. Monitor market trends and industry best practices to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  7. Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  9. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain operations and meet business objectives.
  11. Manage inventory levels to optimize cash flow and minimize stockouts.
  12. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans. They will be able to analyze data, identify trends, and develop cost-reduction initiatives. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
