Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist with the management of polling stations, issue ballots, and conduct counts. As an Election Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of election day activities and providing exceptional customer service to electors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage polling station operations, including supervising staff and ensuring compliance with electoral procedures
* Issue ballots to electors, both ordinary and declaration
* Conduct counts and reconcile ballot papers
* Provide exceptional customer service to electors, responding to queries and resolving issues efficiently
* Collaborate with the Returning Officer and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of election day activities
Requirements:
* Proven experience in election administration or a related field
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Familiarity with electoral procedures and processes
