About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our team. As an SME Underwriter, you will provide underwriting services to our broker stakeholders.

  • You will manage electronic referrals received via Sunrise and ensure tasks are completed according to agreed service standards.
  • You will work closely with the management team and broader business to achieve key financial indicators, namely GWP, Leakage, and Profit measures.
  • Key responsibilities include managing new business requests, renewal management, and processing endorsements and amendments as requested.
  • You will also be responsible for maximising retention of preferred accounts and reviewing renewal and new business in conjunction with internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  • In addition, you will engage face-to-face with local brokers alongside distribution and underwriting staff to build relationships and partnerships.
  • You will underwrite insurance risks within your area of responsibility, adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards.
  • As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will make recommendations on risks that exceed your authority and prepare escalations (sign-off) ensuring referral is accurate, thorough, and balanced.
