Prosecution Specialist Role

The Prosecution Specialist will be responsible for providing professional prosecution services, including legal advice to members of the Queensland Police Service in matters before various courts. This role is part of a large establishment with over fifty staff, comprising sworn and civilian prosecutors, supported by administration staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality prosecution services for the designated area of responsibility.
  • Represent the Queensland Police Service and its members in court proceedings and applications.
  • Offer expert legal advice within the scope of the role on court processes.
  • Monitor and ensure the highest quality of briefs provided by police.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders through consultation and negotiation.
  • Contribute to research, argumentation, submissions, opinions, and advice on legal matters.
  • Maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily activities.
Requirements:

Admission as a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland is mandatory.

Applications must remain current for 12 months.
