About the RoleHillSide Christian College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Christian leader as a Deputy Principal (Secondary) to work as part of the Executive Team from Term 1, 2025 onward.
The College has been established since 1977. The College is a Church-based school and is part of the ministry of HillSide Church. The College has its own Board of governance, and a separate constitution, which articulates an evangelical, non-denomination doctrinal intent. The Secondary section of the College has been in operation for thirteen years.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide educational leadership in the College and community by developing and promoting the College's vision and culture.
- Encourage staff, volunteers, and others to share ownership of the College's vision and mission as an institution that offers high-quality education to students within a clear Christian ethos.
- Student Care and Welfare
- Build empathy and rapport with students through active listening, endeavouring to understand their perspective, proactively implementing positive behaviour management, and providing Godly advice and support.
- Manage discipline and key operations in the high school.
- Teaching and Learning
- Enhance teaching and learning experiences through CSA's school improvement and performance management approaches.
- Embrace staff development as the vehicle for positive change.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work as part of the K-12 Executive team to develop sound and positive relations with students, staff, and community.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
- Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of educational experience.
- Experience in a school executive position may be an advantage.

- Ability to adapt to change and work within a changing educational and work environment.
