About the Role

The ABC is seeking a highly experienced Social Content Lead to lead a high-performing team in managing the operation of key ABC Content branded social accounts, including ABC iview, ABC Kids, and ABC Listen. As a key member of the Content division, you will provide guidance, feedback, and content approval to the team of Social Media Producers, as well as strategic advice to develop and steer ABC social strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social content strategy to deepen community engagement with the ABC brand.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and content activities for key brand accounts on social media, including people management.
  • Lead the development of ideas and methods for integrating social media content supporting TV broadcast and share these with program teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within the Content division, including programming leads, screen genre heads, and commissioning executives.

About You

You will be a strong and empathetic leader with a deep understanding of social audiences for screen and extensive experience in social/digital media. You will have a proven track record in:

  • Social media use and management for brand and community building.
  • Using and interpreting data from social media reporting and analytics tools.
  • Working with key social media platforms and staying up-to-date with digital media industry developments and audience trends.
  • Leading teams and mentoring colleagues in social media and/or video production.
