This is a pivotal role that will drive the development and implementation of innovative regulatory solutions to improve safety and quality outcomes for apprentices and trainees in Victoria.

The successful candidate will lead transformative projects that support apprentices and trainees, ensuring their experiences are of the highest quality.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement recommendations from the Apprenticeship Taskforce's Final Report, outlining key reforms needed to modernise the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading regulatory reform policy work associated with the implementation of Apprenticeship Taskforce recommendations.
  • Managing project work, including planning, implementation, and delivery of various regulatory reform activities.
  • Identifying and acting on emerging risks, issues, and opportunities to deliver project outcomes and effectively managing contributions from team members and external collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Project Director in their management and coordination of inter-departmental governance and executives to achieve strategic alignment.

About the Role:

The position is part of the Strategic Skills Projects Branch within the Skills and Employment Group. The branch responds to key skills and employment priorities and election commitments, delivering cross-cutting projects through agile teams.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have deep knowledge and experience in regulatory and legislative policy reform, skills in formulating and communicating policy options and recommendations, and political sensitivity and project management nous.
