Mater Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Unit as a permanent, full-time member of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-centred, evidence-based clinical care in a variety of orthopaedic, neurological, cardiorespiratory, and general reconditioning caseloads.
- Adhere to Mater behavioural standards, including the Mater Mission, Values, and Code of Conduct.
- Independently undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
- Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision.
- Provide delegation, supervision, training, and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff, and volunteers in the delivery of clinical services.
- Identify, develop, and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes.
- Actively participate in translating research into practice.
- Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers, and external agencies to facilitate patient-centred care.
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
- Eligibility and current registration with AHPRA.
- Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number.
- Membership of Australian Physiotherapists Association (desirable).
- Experience in an adult rehabilitation setting (neurological and orthopaedic) is strongly desirable.
- Competence in using core physiotherapy skills in the rehabilitation setting to contribute to the multidisciplinary team.
- Capability to independently manage caseload responsibilities, measuring outcomes, and contributing to continuous quality improvement in service provision.
- Demonstrated attributes that align with our department values of solutions focus, flexibility, and positive encounters.
